Saltwater Remediation Ellis County, Oklahoma -Case Study
The following report is a summary of the saltwater remediation that took place in Ellis County, Oklahoma. Included in the report are descriptions of the location and remediation efforts.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Client contacted Enviro Clean Sendees (ECS) concerning a need for a site investigation at the impacted location. Client asked for samples to be collected to determine the extent of the contamination. ECS was on site to perform the initial hand auger sampling on July 22, 2008. Samples were collected at surface and 1` in depth. Each of the sample location borings was advanced utilizing a stainless steel hand auger. A grab soil sample was collected from the auger at the appropriate depth and containerized in a laboratory-provided 4-oz glass jar fitted with a Teflon lid. The hand-auger equipment was appropriately decontaminated between sample locations. Soil samples were properly preserved and submitted under Chain-of-Custody Control to Accurate Environmental Laboratory, an Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (OEDEQ)-certified laboratory, for analysis of TSS, per EPA Test Method 2520A.
