Sanitary Check Valves Principles and Parameters
The sanitary check valve will open when the media flows forward and will close when the medium returns to flow. These are mainly automatic valves, whose main function is to prevent the backflow of the means, as well as to avoid the inversion of the pump and the drive motor and the release of the container means. It is also used for safety protection in auxiliary systems where the pressure can rise above the system pressure. These are some of their parameters:
1. Bolt connection
Executive body bonnet connection standard: ANSI B 1.1
Execution standard for nuts: ANSI B 18.2.2
2-valve cover
The bonnet material is the same as the body material. It can be forged or thrown.
3. Pin
The pin is used as a lifting function, but for larger valves, a bolted flange is used instead of the pin.
4. Oscillating arm
The rocker material is the same as that of the body.
5. Seat
The seat is welded or bolted to the valve body. Its surface is rectified and heat treated to adjust the hardness, and the difference in hardness between the valve seat and the door complies with API standards.
6. Disco
The surface of the fin is a structure of a fin overlapped and finished in mirror, and treated thermally to adjust the mechanical properties.
7. Body
The wall thickness of the cast steel body is above the minimum API602/API 6D standard. Dimensions of the channel and seat are in accordance with the standard ANSI B 16.5 pipe. The replaceable seat, body and bonnet connection is the internal and external thread.
8. Design
All sanitary check valves are designed and manufactured in strict accordance with API602 / API 6D standards of the American Petroleum Institute, the EU standard BS EN 13709, the American Society of Mechanical Engineering ASME B 16.34.
