CETCO Oilfield Services new equipment fleet of pipeline separators and FilterSeps allows pipeline operators and contractors to clean their pipelines, run pigs, and perform internal integrity assessments on their lines without taking their pipelines out of service. This process allows pipeline operators to continue to bring their products to the market, sustaining their revenue stream, while saving time and money during necessary pipeline cleaning and integrity assessment operations.

During a recent project in Texas, CETCO Oilfield Services high pressure separator was used during the cleaning and pigging of a gas pipeline. The pipeline was chemically cleaned during an initial pig run, and again while the line was still in service. CETCO Oilfield Services recovered the residual cleaning fluid and waste from the line and delivered all gas back into the pipeline. Several brush pigs were run to provide for additional internal cleaning of the pipeline. Finally, a smart pig was run through the line for the collection of internal integrity data. The entire process was completed without taking the pipeline out of service.

A total of 13 pig runs were made throughout the project. The pipelines were cleaned to provide continuous efficient pipeline operations and internal integrity assessment data was collected without any interruptions made to the transfer of product. A total of 3,207 gallons of pipeline fluid waste was collected, producing only a minimal amount of waste for disposal.
