TRS Group, Inc. (TRS) was retained by Clayton Group Services to perform an Electrical Resistance Heating (ERH) remediation of trichloroethene (TCE) in soil and groundwater. The guaranteed remediation contract required both the baseline TCE mass in soil and groundwater to be reduced by 90% and 1,588,000 kilowatt-hours (kW-hrs) of energy to be applied to the subsurface. TRS was able to input the design energy ahead of schedule and surpass the cleanup
goal.
