Study of the use of thermoluminescent materials in mixed fields

0
The scientific research and the application of the thermoluminescence phenomenon have been advancing for the last two decades. Thermoluminescent Detectors (TLDs) present advantages when used in dosimetry. These advantages include reduced size and the non-use of wires. As a disadvantage, we see the loss of all signals after the reading (information) of the detectors. In the present study, we used the TLD-100, TLD-600 and TLD-700 detectors, with the aim of evaluating them in mixed fields. The TLD-600 is a sensitive detector for thermal neutrons, as well as for gamma radiation, while the TLD-700 only responds to gamma radiation.
