Sustainable health and safety conditions a growing concern in the mining industry
South Africa -- Mining experts will discuss the latest safety and health procedures at the 3rd Global Health and Safety Forum in Mining to be held on 16-17 September 2013 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
After the recent Sago Mine disaster in the USA, the Xiaojiawan mine blasts in China, and other incidents in Chile and New Zealand, the issue of maintaining the health and safety in the mining industry has gained a lot of importance. It has been a continuous effort for the top global mining companies to make mining safe and sustainable, and avoid compromising on the health and safety of its miners.
Despite economic difficulties, efforts are being made at a global level to make the mining industry a safer and injury-free sector.
