Tamarack Ski resort case study

Overlooking Lake Cascade, Tamarack is a four-season destination resort with alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, mountain real estate, water sports and year-round amenities.

The first and newest ski resort to open in the U.S. in 22 years, Tamarack needed a flexible design to accommodate for a multi-use, full-service facility that included a main administration building, a dining/cafeteria facility with member club lounge, a rental and retail shop, a kids club and an equipment storage facility.

Tamarack sought a structure that could withstand heavy snow loads and provide an appealing contemporary aesthetic that was both cost-effective and quick.

Sprung was called upon to erect and complete a variety of full-service facilities quickly, in time to meet the opening of the new ski season and present its guests with a first-class resort experience.

The Sprung structures now provide additional space for guests, with dining and lounging options that include the Canoe Grill, cafeteria, and the resort pub, and now accommodate for children’s sport and educational programs.
