The City of Dallas’ Trinity River Corridor Project

On May 2, 1998, Dallas citizens voted to enhance the quality of life for this and future generations by approving the $246 million Trinity River Corridor Capital Bond Program. This program will transform what has often been a source of ridicule and division into a grand and beautiful centerpiece for the City. It is a multi-objective project, providing flood protection, recreational amenities, environmental restoration & preservation, transportation improvements, and economic development. By leveraging the City of Dallas’ bond funds with other agency partners and with the private sector, the initial phase of this project will comprise over $1 billion in infrastructure, land acquisition and improvements to the corridor.
