0

With ever-tightening legislation driving down emissions limits, minimisation of catalyst deactivation is very important. Attention has now focused on chemical poisoning of three-way catalysts (TWC) by elements commonly found in engine oil. This article looks at boron as a possible alternative to phosphorus, and studies the relative effects of the two elements on TWC durability.
