The impact of stress factors, landscape loads and human activities: implications for sustainable development

0
Negative influences of human activities in the scientific literature are often referred to as stress factors. These stress factors can influence negatively natural ecosystems, natural resources, human environment, biodiversity and landscape stability, respectively. Despite these important impacts, approaches aimed at the management of these stress factors in the landscape are rare. This paper aims to evaluate the impact of stress factors at the landscape scale, specifically the negative impacts of xenobiotic substances, or waste, and presents sustainable landscape management as a basic tool for the successful implementation of stress factors management at the landscape scale.
