The mathematical modelling of the hydroelastic effect of slowing down of the diffusion processes in metal-hydrogen systems
Computations were carried out involving the lifetime of macroscopic ball-shaped Hydrogen Concentration (HC) inhomogeneities in palladium. It was shown that hydrogen-elastic stresses slow down the solubility of HC inhomogeneities. The influence of hydrogen-elastic stresses increases considerably as inhomogeneity dimensions increase.
