The Removal of Nickel From Wastewater in Some Nickel Plating Factories in Hanoi Using Carbonate Precipitation and Ferrous Co-Precipitation
High concentrations of heavy metals have been known to be toxic and carcinogenic to living organisms. At present, groundwater in some areas in Hanoi is being contaminated with nickel in wastewater of several Nickel plating factories. Therefore, the removal of Nickel from wastewater of Nickel plating industry is very necessary to prevent the pollution of groundwater in Hanoi. The object of this work is to study some modifications of the precipitation process to attain a higher level of Nickel removal from wastewater. Experimental design has been used to establish regression equations and to determine optimum parameters of the treatment.
