This paper explores the nature of the ecological culture for the auto industry and the protection of the environment using China as a case study example. From the study, a comparative analysis showed that 75% of state-owned auto enterprises met the Euro III emission standards, while 67% of non-state-owned auto enterprises reached the Euro IV emission standards. It was recommended that this gap can be reduced by developing a better ecological culture in the auto industry.
