User acceptance of automatic vehicle location system technology: a study of motor carriers in Taiwan
This paper aims to analyse the Automatic Vehicle Location System (AVLS) acceptance intentions of motor carriers. This study applies Structure Equation Modelling (SEM) to investigate the impact of three factors based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM): perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and the social norm on the intention of motor carriers. Empirical results indicate that a revised TAM could explain the AVLS acceptance behaviour of local motor carriers. Perceived ease of use has a stronger effect on AVLS acceptance intention than perceived usefulness. Government policies and AVLS introduction by competitors also influence motor carriers' behavioural intentions.
