The main point of the paper is to present the adaptation of ancient Pleurona to the natural environment and its changes as well as the means used by the inhabitants to exploit the available water resources to their advantage in the most efficient ways.

The geomorphological profile and geoarcheological evidence present the study area. The presentation of water resources in ancient Pleurona is ample archaeological evidence of prudent water management, an extensive network of water-supply and water-storage, like water canals aqueduct system, wells, cisterns and reservoirs.
