Rugged Wireless I/O network from Banner Engineering for remote sensing and actuation
Banner Engineering offers a rugged, self-contained wireless network that provides reliable configured I/O for remote sensing and actuation. The DX series are designed for process and assembly/manufacturing automation, remote tank level management and waste water treatment installations.
Monitoring multiple sensing points including fill level, pH, conductivity, and flow from varied locations as well as various sensor brands in a large water treatment plant, can be a challenge. With four analogue inputs, a single SureCross Node can easily centralize and transmit critical monitoring information from multiple existing sensors or controllers. Banner’s unique power management capability enables a single FlexPower Node equipped with an optimized analogue sensor to operate for years on a single DX81 battery power supply.
The network uses Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) protocol and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) technology to assure reliable and secure data communication. If the Radio Frequency (RF) link is lost, the network can automatically direct the outputs to a user-determined state.
