What is an `IAQ Profile`?

The 'IAQ Profile' is a visual presentation of indoor air quality. PPM Technology's range of IAQ Monitors enable continuous monitoring of Indoor Air Quality; this precisely describes changes in concentration levels of selected air quality parameters over a period of time. 

The IAQ Profile provides the knowledgebase and database for improving indoor air quality efficiently and effectively; this allows building managers to provide a more comfortable working environment by 'predicting' normal situations.

The IAQ Profile can enable more efficient HVAC systems; Carbon Dioxide is a good indicator of how adequate the ventilation system is within a building.  The results gathered by the IAQ Monitor will give an indication of the effectiveness of the air-conditioning system in the building. The air conditioning system can be tied-in with the profile so that it's not used when CO2 levels are low and fresh air is not required in the room. 

Since a great number of wireless monitoring units can be networked, the system can show precise changes in concentration of selected IAQ parameters in various locations over time. The IAQ Profile Monitor system enables the user to control and run several wireless IAQ sampling units — all communicating together via the sophisticated and reliable ZigBee wireless mesh system.  

Each IAQ Profile Unit can monitor 3 to 8 different IAQ parameters. The Manager PC/laptop connects to the mesh network via a special node which is capable of receiving and transmitting information to the IAQ Profile Monitor. The Manager PC can view, run and control the real-time monitoring and data logging of air quality in a building at the click of a button. The PPMonitor software enables the data to be viewed graphically, produce reports and statistical data, run schedules as well as alarm functions and notifications for more effective and economical building management. 

The IAQ Profile Monitor incorporates a variety of advanced gas sensor technologies to monitor the target gases including NDIR, PID and Electrochemical.
