Woodford litho called upon Impact Air Systems to review their existing waste extraction system in preparation for the installation of an additional new binding line. 

The existing waste system, supplied by a competitor, delivered the waste to a single compactor and was not capable of removing the additional waste from the new binder but also blocked frequently, reducing productivity of the whole site.

The old system was completely replaced and a phased installation ensured there was no loss of production during the installation.  A twin compactor system replaced the single compactor along with Impacts latest low profile and reliable rotary waste separator. 

All of the factory waste was collected via a single fan, capable of removing the waste from seven production lines.  A reverse jet filter cleans the conveying air, the filtered warm air extracted by the system is now returned to the production area to save on winter heating costs, saving thousands of pounds each year.

Woodford litho are delighted with the high efficiency of the new system which now allows the production lines to run at full capacity.  The additional benefit of saving energy by returning the warm air to the factory gave a measurable return on the investment.
