World Energy Outlook 2000

A new report by the IEA has warned that the world's energy-related carbon-dioxide emissions are set to increase 60 percent above 1997 levels by 2020, despite the current efforts to limit these emissions. The 'World Energy Outlook 2000' paints a worrying picture - predicting an annual growth in world energy use of two percent. The report provides an overview of current policies of member countries and their efforts to combat climate change.
