Hydrometry: IHE Delft Lecture Note Series
Hydrometry is a comprehensive introduction to the measurement of flow in open channels. Although addressed primarily to undergraduate students of hydrology and water resources management, it is largely based on many years of lecturing experience with participants from many countries of Master Programmes and short tailor-made courses in the Netherlands and abroad. Therefore, it will appeal to graduate students and professionals in the field of hydrology and water resources management as well. The main areas of hydrometry are covered, namely: the measurement of water levels and bed levels, discharge measurement, the measurement of sediment transport, the use of flow measuring structures, hydrological networks and the organization of surveys. 'Hydrometry' deals with both traditional techniques and new methods and instruments, from which the majority is in accordance with the latest ISO standards.
