For most oil sand recovery is accomplished with in-situ thermal processes like Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) and Cyclic Steam Stimulation (CSS), where steam and chemicals are injected to the liquefy the bitumen. The treatment and recycling of the produced water used in this process has a direct impact on the cost of oil production. Aquatech provides water treatment technologies that includes the recycling of the produced water used the process which has a direct impact on their the cost of oil production....
Aquatech is committed to being the leader in membrane technology with a focus on breaking barriers related to pretreatment, energy recovery, and overall water recovery. We are progressively making strides in optimizing the lifecycle cost and increasing the reliability of SWRO equipment installations. Our approach is to take complete responsibility of SWRO plant installations to ensure complete design integration….. from intake to outfall, Aquatech can take single point responsibility.

Aquatech’s Multiple Effect Distillation (MED) Desalination technology, using a spray film™ design, has been developed and improved over decades of in- house research and onsite experience of such systems worldwide to provide an environmentally friendly system to meet the global challenges of a reduced carbon footprint.
Production capacity up to 10 MIGD (45,500 m3/day) in a single unit:
Significantly lowers electrical consumption
Design flexibility to use low to medium pressure supply steam
Aquatech has experience working with refinery effluent pollutants in the refinery market and offers the advanced petroleum wastewater treatment and recovery technology necessary for the refinery’s needs.
The fresh water requirement for a cooling tower in a typical coal-based power plant is approximately 80% of the total consumption of water. These concentrated cooling water blowdown streams are extremely rich in silica, are characterized by higher hardness levels and include other organic loads. Aquatech has vast experience in recycle/reuse solutions for cooling tower blowdown and cooling tower water treatment.
Water is indispensable for the mining industry. Water is both in the process and also generated by the process. Controlling the quality of the water and treating the waste waters for reuse is essential to this industrial market. Aquatech, a global water treatment leader, has more than 30 years of expertise in industrial water treatment solutions. Our wide range of technologies, services and knowledge can help solve the water issues for the mining industry.
In a Steamflood Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) process, steam is injected in the well, lowering the viscosity of heavy oil suitable for extraction through the production wells. The fluid from the wells is a mixture of oil, water and gas and goes through a separation system to separate the three. The separated produced water is heavily contaminated with dissolved solids and hydrocarbons.
Aquatech’s Steamflood Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Technology offers the integrated solutions for the treatment EOR produced...
