BBR Filtration Limited

Founded in 2002, BBR are suppliers of air filtration systems for air pollution control. With more stringent laws governing the emission of odorous gases our aim is to help our clients implement the most efficient solution to their emission problems. Our modular approach and patented technology allows us to target specific pollutants in your emissions for a more effective, compact and economical solution. Our mission is to offer technologies that are proven, safe, clean and sustainable and provide a better environment for everyone. All BBR products are designed to protect industrial environments and comply with air emission standards.

Odors are a fact of life for many manufacturing processes. But as residential and commercial zones are being located closer together and federal and local regulations get ever more strict, the need for efficient and cost effective odor control grows.

BBR´s biofilters efficiently remove a wide range of odors including hydrogen sulphide, ammonia and VOCs. The bio-filter uses a fluidized bed that is 100 times more efficient than static bio-filtration beds. The only output from the system is clean air and water that can be discharged directly into the sewage system.

It is a clean, sustainable and highly cost-effective solution for a wide range of applications.

Compact Biofilter

  • 350 and 3500 CFM Standard units plus larger custom built units
  • Low maintenance
  • Automated odor management
  • Total odor removal > 98%
  • Hydrogen Sulphide removal > 99%
  • 40 kW, 480 V three-phase

350 CFM Unit

  • 12´x 8´x 6´ high 2500 lbs
  • Trailer mounted
  • Caustic requirements - 0.1 quart per day
  • Water requirements - 0.02 GPM
3500 CFM Unit
  • Fits in a 20´ shipping container
  • Caustic requirements - 1 quart per day
  • Water requirements - 0.25 GPM
  • Automated management of particulate spikes up to 400ppm

By fluidizing the filter bed, BBR has been able to address many of the drawback of conventional bio-filters, such as: a large foot print and an inability to cope with fast and fluctuating airflows. The fluidized bed has at least 100 times more surface are per unit volume than conventional filters, making BBR filters efficient and compact.

Bad Smells Are Bad Business

  • They draw attention to a problem
  • They cost in reputation and money
  • They often contain hazardous pollutants
  • They lead to: nuisance, complaints, law-suits or fines

BBR technology removes odours, HAPs and VOCs from exhaust from agricultural and industrial facilities.

The BBR fluidised biofilter is at the cutting edge of odour control. It can handle high concentrations of differing contaminants including chemical and biological cocktails. The process is proven to remove over 99% of odours from wastewater streams. There is no hazardous waste produced as a result.

  • State of the art bio-filtration
  • Superior performance
  • Low-maintenance
  • Small footprint
  • Highly cost-effective Extremely reliable

  • Small size (fits into a 20' or 40' container)
  • Compliance with strictest regulatory requirements
  • Easy to transport
  • Quick to install
  • Simple to operate
  • Self regeneration of the microbes reduces maintenance cost
  • Waste water is clean and can be disposed of in normal drains. Use of microbes replaces use of toxics
  • 24 hour operation with remote control and monitor

BBR filters are highly efficient at removing almost any organic contaminant and can be used across a wide number of industries

BBR's biofilter efficiently remove a wide range ol odours including:

  • hydrogen sulphide, ammonia
  • mercaptans
  • aldehydes
  • VOCs

Food processing

  • Animal food processing
  • Meat processing
  • Seafood processing
  • Brewing
  • Baking
  • Wastewater treatment

Others

  • Municipal waste
  • Compositing
  • Chemical processing
  • Refining
  • Paints and coatings
  • Metal working
  • Rubber production
  • Fibreboard production
  • Solid vapour treatment
  • Pulp and paper mills

The technology uses a three stage process

1. Horizontal Scrubber

  • Specifically targets components in the air stream
  • Enables the efficient removal of a cocktail of impurities from a gas
  • Almost total H2S removal
  • No hazardous waste produced

2. Radical Cracking

  • Hydroxyl radicals are injected into the scrubber brine to crack complex hydrocarbons
  • The scrubber brine is continuously cleansed to minimize effluent
  • The cleaning water is recycled minimizing consumption

3. Biofiltration

  • The BBR system is much more efficient and less expensive to run than competing technologies
  • The fluidized bed has at least 100 times more surface area per unit volume than conventional filters, making BBR filtrs efficient and compact

  • Continuously agitated fluidized biomass transfer between air and biofilm is 100 time faster than static systems
  • Less than 1/10 the size of current static biofi Iters
  • Produces clean, breathable air
