A family-run company, which from 2005 deals exclusively with gas diluters, just using the technique of equal capillaries, which was adopted after some experiences with different techniques. The background of tre available technical knowledge ranges necessarily from analytical instrumentation to mechanics, electronics, physics and mathematics with a little of ‘chemistry. Until now the most part of the incomes were reinvested in the Company: Studies and prototypes of new products or new developments and updates for existing products, provided free of charge to all customers; Design and construction of test equipment for internal use, mainly dedicated to the activities of capillaries selection.

Who we are
A family company, focused on product performances re-investing nearly all the earnings in developing and realizing product innovations and testing tools required to increase the metrologic product performances. The first clients had sightless confidence but the clients of today may get positive references from our past work.
In fact, the techniques that we use for the selection of the equal capillaries are key to ensuring the quality of production even before the “calibration”. We also use functions to automatically correct the found errors, but these are quite marginal: often the measure of the errors on the finished product is affected by a higher uncertainty of the extent of actual errors.
In fact, as made clear on the page Gas_Dividers_Technology.html, the selection of equal capillaries (before assembly) it is inherently much less uncertain than the subsequent verification on the end product, even if performed with less sophisticated and not traceable equipment.
The peculiarities of the production
All our diluters are equipped with electronic regulation of the pressures at the ends of the capillaries: this function, in addition to offering a repeatability better than ± 1 mbar of 2000, it has allowed us to implement useful functions for automatic compensation of certificated errors and viscosity, the sole external parameter which depends on the composition of the used mixtures.
The different products that we have developed are designed to meet different requirements:
- Verification of linearity of gas analyzers for emissions, automotive, process and laboratory;
- Verification of linearity and calibration of analyzers for air quality monitoring using high concentration cylinders;
- Measurement of cross sensitivities and linearity.
All are equipped with a large display in which all the variables that can affect the process of dilution are shown , so that the operator can immediately identify the cause of an abnormal response and possibly provide for corrective actions.
All are fitted with inputs for acquisition of analog signals: they are used to provide up to three measurement signals from the analyzer being verified with remote management. In such a case, an optional software package makes possible the automatic management of the test, which can also be unmanned. The verbal or test certificate is drawn up automatically in a format complying with what is indicated by the standard EN14181.
That’s the only activity that we know we have neglected, not because we did not attach the due importance, but because we deal exclusively with too specific products : if we decide to contact a potential customer and find out he has just purchased a diluter or that he will not use it, we have no other products to be presented and we wasted our time and his own.
On the other hand, we consider each of our acquired clients as a possible “seller”: apart from a few cases, our gas dividers are used on different locations where them are seen and evaluated by different people and companies, which somehow have interests in analytical field.
Here it’s important the satisfaction of our customers : we have tried to provide the best product and the best technical support: when questioned, we know they demonstrate their satisfaction.
At least one of every two supplied diluters, veins by “word of mouth” and it generates new “word of mouth”; to us the responsibility to maintain a high level of satisfaction.
A particularly important and valued aspect of our production is the stability of performance for years: this has led us to indicate our customers a suggested interval of three years between two calibrations and our handling time for the audit and certification is lower than 30 days so as to minimize the time of unavailability of the diluter.

Just designs and produces gas diluters, but....well !
The same concepts and construction style have been applyed to a variety of diluters models having specific purposes in diluting gases :
BetaCAP30, the simpler model with 30 very similar capillaries for 31 dilution steps in the range 0...100% or continuous dilution setting between 1.66% and 98.33%
BetaCAP30X100, which adds to the above 30 steps 30 more steps in the range 0.033%...1% or a continuous single dilution range between 0.0166% and 98.33
BetaCAP60-3G, with 60 capillaries and three gas inputs to allow two independent dilutions. It allows handling linearity tests (using just two inputs) and cross sensitivity tests (using all).
BetaCAP60X100, adds to the function of the previous gas divider the possibility of pre-diluting by 100 one of the two inputs to be diluted. It's than reached a dilution step up to 1:6000 (0.01667%) and even higher dilution using the continuous range mode.
With the models BetaCAP30X100 and BetaCAP60X100, we must compete with MFC type diluters in air quality analyzers testing, where wery high dilution are required. In fact we may add to high and continuous dilutions, an incomparable stability in harsh conditions of use.
Small size with handle is one of the most appreciated features of the BetaCAP series : when gas dividers must be carried on various plants it makes the difference. For residential applications the 19' rack 3UH case is also available.
Manifold type structure
Capillaries are incorporated between two solid shells and the rest of pneumatical components are nestled or in touch with the manifold surface. all the gas connections are obtained by communicating holes between the capillaries ends and the various components, like pressure sensors, solenoid valves, proportional valves. This way of building leads to various advantages

Equal capillaries technique and PID pressures control
Selecting equal capillaries with very high accuracy is relatively easy (with suitable tools), much easier than measuring or characterizing elements in a wide flows range : High resolution and repeatability is the sole feature required to the test bench. A capillary of the lot is used to check periodically the bench alignment and the results do confirm our good choice. Another important requirement to get accurate results is the balancing of applied pressures : we use electronic (PID) regulation and compensated pressure sensors, placed very near to capillaries ends. Regulation is differential (inlet-outlet) on both sides (gas to be diluted and diluting gas). PID control offers a repeatability of ±1 mBar on the pressures balancing, sure better than mechanical regulators may do, but in addition it allows controlling the set points by electronics : this feature is used both for setting the diluted gas flow and to provide special functions (Certified errors compensation, different viscosity compensation and the new operative mode 'free selection of the wanted diluted concentration') : absolutely new for capillary type diluters !
This last feature joins the flexibility you may have using MFC based diluters to the well known stability of the capillaries based ones.
