BioConversion Technology was founded in May of 2001 by Kathleen Renzi and Jim Elsey. A common complaint they heard in their relationships with authority members, administrators, managers, and operators of water and wastewater systems was that there were too many companies and consultants to deal with in regard to products and services for their systems. One company would provide the chemicals, another would provide equipment, and yet another would serve as trainer or consultant. When a problem did occur at the plant it was difficult to know who to call, or even if they would remember how their particular system was configured. Typically, this would cause a delay in responding to a problem, which usually cost the client more money.
