Building Health Check

Quality of the indoor environment has become a major concern due to health implications, heightened public awareness, economic and legal implications. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that greater than one building in four has indoor air quality (IAQ) problems. This number is significant when you consider that across the country, more and more indoor air quality regulations and standards are being developed and enforced. Building owners, managers, and other professionals in the building industry are responsible for providing a healthy and safe workplace or learning environments for patrons they serve. In response to this escalating concern, Pure Air Control Services, a trusted leader in IAQ, introduces the Building Health-Check™, LLC. Building Health-Check™, LLC. Division is staffed with professional Indoor Environmental Technicians (IET) that are fully trained for indoor environmental screen testing utilizing effective sampling techniques, protocols, and HVAC assessments.

30+ Solid Years Of Service (1984 - 2015)

U.S. Energy Services, Inc. (a state licensed Class A Air Conditioning contractor) began operations specializing in the mechanical services (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)) industry in 1984, where the primary markets serviced were residential and light commercial. Over the next three years, Alan L. Wozniak, CIAQP, President/CEO recognized that many of the HVAC systems, U.S. Energy Services, Inc. was servicing for commercial, residential and institutional customers displaced visual contamination on interior surfaces.

U.S. Energy Services, Inc. began investigating concerns of contaminated air-conditioning systems to determine the link with indoor environmental pollution. After extensive research and correspondence with organizations such as the World Health Organization ( W.H.O.), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational, Safety, and Health Administration (OSHA) the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), the Florida Department of Health, to name a few, indoor air pollution was evidently a problem that the air-conditioning industry would have to face.

Health and safety concerns were disclosed by these customers requesting professional evaluation and where necessary, mitigation of indoor environmental deficiencies. In 1987, Pure Air Control Services was formed as a division of U.S. Energy Services, Inc to establish itself in the indoor air quality industry by providing quality products and services to an industry where indoor air pollution is a major concern. As the “Sick Building Syndrome” phenomenon was unveiled, the business concept for Pure Air Control Services was developed to meet the needs created by the revelation of indoor environmental pollution.
