Year Founded:

Campbell Associates was founded by Ian Campbell, daughter Joanna Hargreave and son John Campbell in March 1999. The business started off in Hatfield Broad Oak, where only a handful of staff were employed: Joanne May, Darren Batten and Frances King, who continue to work for this ever-growing business.

In 2005, having seriously outgrown the cottage, the company had to look for more suitable accommodation.

Following a search of the local industrial estates a suitable location was identified and on the completion of an intensive refurbishment program the company moved to new premises on the Chelmsford Road Industrial Estate in Great Dunmow, Essex, naming the building 'Sonitus House,' which is Latin for Noise Sound.

We have continued to see expansion in the market and have now increased our staffing levels to 15!
Campbell Associates are the lead distributor for Norsonic, Datakustik and CVK equipment in the whole of the UK. We offer a wide spectrum of expertise, knowledge and services to varied industries and government agencies. We were founded on honesty and integrity, but have grown due to a desire to build strong client relationships, always providing a personal touch; a defined presence by not only our staff but ongoing clients who have used us over the past decade.

April 2012 – We purchase the building next door and have now expanded our operational base to increase the calibration laboratory and overall storage space. This has enabled us to improve our UKAS accreditation support services and reduce the overall turnaround time for calibration work.
