We arrange our business on a number of important principles:
THE HEALTH AND SAFETY of all our employees is of prime concern to us. We put this concern into practice by operating within all relevant safety legislation, encouraging our employees to take responsibility for their own safety and by developing a 'health and safety' culture within our company.
OUR APPROACH TO QUALITY is to provide our customers with products which are consistently fit for their intended purpose and we achieve this by operating to ISO9001:2008, developing products to meet the changing requirements of our customers and by encouraging a 'produce it right first time' attitude within our company.
OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO THE ENVIRONMENT in which we operate is fulfilled by being a good neighbour to the community of Barnoldswick and beyond. We achieve this by ensuring our operations not only conform to all relevant legislation but also by using operating methods which minimise their impact on the environment through continuous investment in modern process control systems.
Carlson still utilise the original Mill built in the 1800s, although the original building has seen a lot of change.
