CIMA+ was founded in 1990 through a series of mergers and the integration of firms with over 30 years of combined experience. Our company is one of the largest consulting services in Canada and North America. We employ over 2000 people who put our standards of excellence into practice at all of our Canadian and international offices. With our 230 partners and associate partners, CIMA+ can now boast a ratio of partners and associate partners/employees that is nearly one to 10, enabling us to offer the highest quality of services to our clients.
In recent years, CIMA+ has been repeatedly recognized for its innovation, quality, and contribution to sustainable development through various awards and honourable mentions. We have been named one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Private Companies an astounding nine times since 2001.
CIMA+ aims to provide clients with integrated services and effective solutions while emphasizing a culture of excellence and accountability for their experts, all in a spirit of partnership.
A skilled workforce and a strong commitment to providing quality services are the foundations on which CIMA+ has built its reputation. Our team stands out for its drive, innovative spirit and integration of cutting-edge technologies in design activities and processes.
Each group includes a partner and about 10 specialists who represent every discipline, allowing us to reinforce our client commitment. While this structure is unusual in our industry, it allows for a uniquely personalized service offer.
We maintain our standards of excellence through continuous training programs, an ISO 9001-certified quality policy, an Organizational Quality Management (OQM) certified policy in British Columbia, and a commitment to providing our clients with exceptional services. Our culture reflects the experience, leadership, and passion of our partners and professionals.
CIMA+ and its divisions have been ISO 9001 certified since December 1995.
CIMA+ managers and employees subscribe to a policy of providing consistent quality service that is maintained by continuous training, guaranteed by a responsible attitude, and ensured by a team-based organization. This policy confirms their commitment.
The ISO 9001 certification is a great source of pride for all CIMA+ employees. They are diligent in their efforts to maintain it by applying quality control procedures and mastering the processes leading to customer satisfaction.
We guarantee our clients perfect command of all activities that directly impact final product quality:
- Adherence to the technical program
- Technical quality of execution
- Cost and schedule management
At each step, our work organization requires that all control mechanisms are in place to meet customer expectations during and after execution.
Characteristics and commitment
Our characteristics and commitment are:
- Direct and significant participation from at least one of our 115 partners in the execution of a mandate
- The invaluable combination of skills and experience from our human resources
- Outstanding discoveries in the field of new technologies
- Completing mandates in perfect synergy with our clients
- Adhering to budgets and schedules
CIMA+ has received the Organizational Quality Management (OQM) Certification in British Columbia in 2013.
The OQM more closely aligns CIMA+ with the Engineering Act in British Columbia, thereby improving the clarity in which the work is executed and documented.
Clients benefit the most from enhanced quality practices. OQM provide an extended set of corporate policies and procedures that include signing and sealing drawings, requirements for direct supervision, field reviews, checking of work, and record keeping. Consequently, communications are better, and thus, the potential for error, misunderstanding, delays and conflicts is reduced.
