With an emphasis in various areas that promote development, mainly in the Construction sector, where it finds its origin, the Group brings together more than 50 companies, also in the segments of Construction, Oil and Gas, Real Estate Development, Environmental Engineering, Business Management - Renewable Energies, Foods and Steel - and Shipbuilding Industry.

Present in all Brazilian states and in Latin American and African countries, it also exports its know-how to the United States, Canada and Europe. With approximately 46,000 employees, it generates business opportunities, and combines its own growth to the growth of the regions where it operates.

Queiroz Galvão Group and its companies are committed to the constant pursuit of excellence and with building relationships that satisfy all parties involved. In line with these commitments, environmental and social responsibility are seen as requirements for its growth strategy.

Group Queiroz Galvão believes that quality management and continuous improvement of processes, products and services are strategic actions to boost its competitive edge. Besides that, the Institution is also committed with improvement of quality of life, social and environmental sustainability and customer satisfaction.

Starting in 1984, with operations consolidated within the national market, Queiroz Galvão entered on an internationalization process, and at present it is leading through engineering, the Brazilian contribution to the development of other countries.

The construction of the dam at Paso San Severino, in Uruguay, became the milestone. Today, the construction company is present in Central and South America, the Caribbean and Africa, in the following countries: Angola, Argentina, Chile, Libya, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic and Venezuela.

In fact, the Company is working on new projects in Venezuela, where it signed a contract of approximately US$ 1.5 billion for the construction of the rural settlement irrigation project in Quibor Valley.

In Nicaragua, in association with Eletrobras and local authorities, the company is taking part in the project’s development of the Tumarin Hydro Power Plant, one of the largest in the region. Even in that same country, the construction company is responsible for the works of the San Jacinto-Tizate plant, becoming the first Brazilian company to participate in building a geothermal plant.

Businesses in Libya stand as a challenge. Infrastructure works are in progress simultaneously in six cities of the country, causing a great social impact on the population, as it helps, for example, in overcoming cultural barriers.

To respond to the confidence of these countries, the company is constantly investing in creating a structure of systems, equipment and people which can guarantee the same standard of excellence wherever it operates.

Aware of the importance of the construction sector as a generator of jobs, the company has among its priorities, to create local staff, taking advantage, wherever possible, the national workforce.

Two out of the three producing areas of personal property of the Queiroz Galvão Group are primarily exporters: Iron & Steel Industry and Food.
