China’s water challenges are as big as they are complex. Fortunately, however, the municipal, provincial, and national authorities recognize this, and are actively freeing up financial resources to solve, or at least mitigate a wide range of water/wastewater issues. Households and firms, on the other hand, while hopeful, are increasingly skeptical of the water coming out of their tap. Opportunities abound, but capturing them is not straightforward. From pumping, to filtration, to industrial remediation, to irrigation, to stormwater management, the demand for equipment, chemicals, and engineering is currently seeing double digit Y0Y growth, and is expected to continue on the same trajectory. Chinese companies are not exactly sitting on the sidelines of all this.
