Previously trading as Alfa Electrochlorination Specialists LLC in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates for nearly 18 years. We have experience in turnkey projects for ITM Arabian Power Company at Sas Al Nakl, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. We can build custom electrolyser cells to accommodate plants, we have refurbished plants at ITM to extend their life cycle and improvement processes with our knowledge base.
Alfa Electrochlorination Specialists LLC was previously established by Steve Tappin and his partner, where they operated in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates servicing the local plants ADNOC at Takreer, Taweelah, FEWA, and endeavoured to further interest in Saudi Arabia with JOMEL and business interests in Oman.
Our most significant achievement was the turnkey project at ITM where we were awarded with the project to design, manufacture, install and commission the alteration to the Pepcon US Filter plant that was installed prior. We completed the project within nine months of which we were ahead of our original completion date, this was a very great achievement for Alfa Electrochlorination Specialists LLC and we are bringing that same commitment and knowledge to Dragon Water Technologies to support further projects alike.
We pay attention to the costs involved with plant operations and in this changing world we must take note of our environment, the necessity for us to have awareness of this fact gives our company the aim to add to that by offering our refurbishment service to extend plants providing a value added benefit of our experience and knowledge in giving cost savings to the plant.

Dragon Water Technologies is a dedicated water treatment company. We are an exclusive distributor for branded products as advertised on our website. We extend additional services to the industry in consulting, renovations, system design and restoration, installation and commissioning and much more. Using our experience, we are sure that we can provide the solution.
DWT founder, Stephen Tappin, established a specialised company in electrochlorination manufacturing and supply in the Middle East under Alfa Electrochlorination Specialists LLC (AES) for seventeen years, building bespoke systems as well as providing renovation, refurbishment and maintenance options for current systems. During this time, the most prominent clients included government and water authorities as well as refineries.
In all cases, refurbishment and renovation to extend plant life was the preferred cost-effective solution when compared with the cost of new equipment or systems. DWT are keen to provide this solution in Wales to combat the ‘throwaway culture’ in the industry as well as extend plant life.
