The establishment of Dreyer & Bosse was by chance. A farmer decided in 1995 to build a cogeneration plant (CHP) on his farm, which runs on biomass. He asked the electrician Klaus Diethelm Dreyer and the heating technician Peter Bosse for help. These are the people who started up the initial CHP idea!.
The technology created an interest amongst other farmers who were willing to invest in this new technology. In 1997 Klaus Diethelm Dreyer and Peter Bosse founded the Dreyer & Bosse Kraftwerke GmbH with their first two customers.
Dreyer & Bosse were not ideologists in renewable energy, being in the close vicinity of the nuclear waste program. They were convinced in the effilcientcy of making energy from Biomass. This decision proved to be the right one! Their courage to go new ways has been a success story till this day.
