Environmental Waste International Inc. (EWS) is a design and development company specializing in eco-friendly systems for the break down of organic materials. EWS has spent over fifteen years engineering systems that integrate the EWS patented Reverse Polymerization™ (RP) process and proprietary microwave delivery system. Each unit is designed to be energy efficient and where possible, create an economically positive model for the recovery of various hydrocarbon oil and gasses.

EWS is a Canadian company located in Ajax, Ontario. The company was founded in 1992, when it took over the development of the RP process originally begun in the late 1980’s by Dr. C. L. Emery. The earlier work was focused on the construction of several pilot plants designed to further EWS’s understanding of the operational parameters needed to begin commercializing the technology. Initial systems included a proof of concept continuous feed tire system and batch based infectious medical waste system. The knowledge gained allowed EWS to design and build commercial units for biological wastewater sterilization and shipboard food waste sterilization/dehydration.

The company continues to work on the marketing and sales of systems designed to break down used tires, medical waste, food waste and biological wastewater effluent.

EWS is a public traded company listed on the Canadian Venture Exchange (TSX) under the symbol “EWS”.

Environmental Waste International Inc. (EWS) is at the forefront of the “Green Revolution”. At EWS we are intent on delivering our innovative and environmentally friendly process to the world. Since 1993 we have worked to develop and market new and innovative products that address the treatment and disposal of various organic waste streams. Our products are technologically advanced systems based on our patented Reverse PolymerizationTM (RP) process and delivery system.

We are proud of the EWS solutions we have designed and built. At EWS we are tackling several waste problems and have designed systems for:

  • Rubber Tires
  • Effluent Decontamination Systems (EDS)
  • Food Waste
  • Medical Hospital Waste
  • Animal Waste
  • EWS continues to develop systems for many other applications.

EWS has been testing and developing its microwave based process since 1993. EWS utilizes microwave energy through its proprietary Microwave Delivery System (MDS) that produces the patented Reverse Polymerization (RP) Process used in EWS’s various products.
The wastewater sterilization unit combines the EWS MDS with an alternative heating source, in a redundant array, to provide a reliable effluent decontamination system (EDS). The microwave energy provides greater destruction efficacy when compared to standard heating processes.

The RP Process is applied in our Medical Systems, Tire Systems and Animal Disposal Systems. The RP Process applies high intensity microwave energy through our MDS in an oxygen free atmosphere, reducing all organic compounds to their simplest form.

The Food Dehydrating and Sterilization System utilizes the MDS to sterilize and dehydrate the food waste generated onboard ships, allowing the waste to be stored longer without noxious fumes being generated.

EWS has successfully demonstrated systems for the treatment of tires, wastewater, medical waste, animal waste, and food waste dehydration/sterilization. EWS continues to actively market these applications, however, EWS believes that these applications are only the beginning. EWS continues to embark on research and development of new applications for the EWS Reverse Polymerization technology.

EWS is confident that there are many other waste materials that have the potential to provide new, profitable business lines for the company. Some of these include:

  • Oil Shale
  • Soil Remediation
  • Oil from coal
  • Waste plastic

Other value added processes, such as drying and the production of new carbon-based materials, will also be investigated.

EWS’s product development process, R&D plans and the state of the art test facility show a clear direction for R&D in the company’s future.
