The range of technologies comprises state-of-the-art technologies such as:

  • Thermal disposal of sewage and industrial sludge (stationary fluidized bed).
  • Generation of steam and electricity at power plants by combustion of fuels with a high calorific value (circulating fluidized bed).
  • Thermal disposal of solid, liquid or gaseous waste materials (rotary kiln or combustion chamber).
  • Use of a bogie hearth kiln with downstream post-combustion chamber and flue gas cleaning train for the destruction of chemical weapons.
  • Flue gas cleaning systems.
  • Dedusting through dry- and wet-type electrostatic precipitators as well as baghouse filters including after sales services.
  • Manufacturing and sale of honeycomb SCR catalysts.
  • Syngas generation using solid fuels (fluidized-bed and fixed-bed generators).
  • Since September 2012, Envirotherm has, on an exclusive basis, co-operated with the US process-developing company ZeroPoint in the fields of turn-key construction of small-scale power blocks basing upon a co-current gasifier and power generation through gas engines.

Envirotherm can rely upon an experienced and powerful team which provides customer-tailored and efficient solutions ranging from the preparation of concept studies to turn-key plants. With a comprehensive technological know-how, long-term experience in project implementation processes and in-house technologies at hand we are able to render you support to carry out your projects and solve the tasks defined by you.

Furthermore, great experience has been gained in the field of physical re-deployment of process plants which comprises dismantling, shipping and re-erection and, if necessary, required adaption of plants to changed on-site conditions.

The Envirotherm GmbH company located in the city of Essen was established on July 1, 2003. The Allied Resource Corporation (ARC), Wayne, PA, USA and the Aloe Environment Fund, Paris, France are shareholders of the Envirotherm GmbH.

Envirotherm GmbH represents the holding company for Bamag International GmbH, Bamag MENA LLC and, apart from this, a shareholder of a joint venture with the Chinese Dongfang Boiler Group Ltd.

Bamag International sells plants for waste water treatment and drinking water purification purposes on a worldwide scale and can rely upon more than 1500 reference plants erected during the last 25 years.

Bamag MENA is a plant contractor offering turnkey plants in the water / waste water sector mainly in the Near East and in Northern Africa. Bamag MENA uses the portfolio of technologies of Bamag International and receives its support on the selection of processes/technologies and equipment.

Together with Dongfang Boiler Group, Envirotherm holds a share of a joint venture established to manufacture honeycomb catalysts designed for flue gas denitrification purposes.

The Joint Venture of Chengdu Dongfang KWH Environmental Protection Catalysts Co. Ltd. (http://www.dec-ltd.cn/en) provides the capability to manufacture more than 15.000 cbm of denitrification catalysts annually. The relevant manufacturing process was supplied by Envirotherm from Germany.

The portfolio of technologies of Envirotherm includes technologies developed and earlier brought to markets by Lurgi-Lentjes.

Envirotherm is an engineering company and plant contractor with its own technologies and a focus on the fields of syngas and fuel-gas generation as well as of power generation from solid fuels which, in particular, may also be derived from secondary raw materials, and of thermal disposal of sewage and industrial sludge as well as of hazardous solid, liquid, pasty-like and gaseous waste materials.

Envirotherm engages itself in the construction of complete flue gas cleaning plants arranged downstream of waste incineration process plants. We own technologies concerning the catalytic denitrification of flue gases from power plants and other combustion systems including manufacturing and selling of honeycomb catalysts (SCR technology) related with comprehensive support in spare parts.

The scope of the portfolio is completed by such components of dedusting equipment as wet/dry-type electrostatic precipitators and baghouse filters including rendering of appropriate after sales services.

Furthermore, the re-deployment of industrial plants to other sites on a turn-key basis belongs to our sphere of competence too. The relevant activities start at the dismantling of plants and will be finished with the complete commissioning of the plant which, subject to new on-site conditions, might be adapted respectively.

Envirotherm GmbH has all specialist departments required for a plant engineering and construction company under its own roof. This, in particular, refers to the branches of

  • Technical engineering and project management.
  • Technologies/process engineering.
  • Quality assurance.
  • Controlling / accountancy.
  • Contracts.
  • Purchasing / shipping.
  • Sales / quotations.

Resting upon this basis, despite of but also due to our size, we are also able to flexibly and timely carry out projects on turn-key conditions as a general contractor.

Environmental protection through an exclusion or reduction of pollutant emissions as well as the preservation of resources and an efficient use of energy constitute great challenges of our era.

By the provision of well-proven, efficient and ecologically clean technologies Envirotherm is paying its contribution to the preservation of environment und resources.

This involves the generation of “green” energy, the environmentally acceptable disposal of residues and waste as well as the use of highly efficient flue gas cleaning techniques and the generation of synthetic and fuel gas from solid fuels.

In this respect, the development of high and state-of-art standards is as self-evident as is the use of the latest engineering software. Cooperation with partners, among them university-related ones, allows for a well-directed further development of our technologies.
