EEG has achieved continuous growth since it was established in 1997 to become one of the UK’s largest providers of drain and sewer cleaning, inspection and repair and multi-utility solutions. Today we operate from a total of 23 main and satellite depots in the UK, from Aberdeen in the north to Truro in the south.

In February 2010, that process of ongoing growth was supported with a £20 million commitment from Sovereign Capital, the UK private equity buy and build specialist, focused on further expanding EEG — then known as Euro Environmental Group — and its group comapnies through both organic growth and acquisition.

The group was rebranded as EEG in January 2012, to bring all the group’s companies together under a single name, streamlining its drainage, sewer and multi-utility solutions for clients and re-emphasising the group’s focus on providing the highest quality customer service.

Service excellence is at the heart of EEG’s success in building long-term client relationships. With much of the UK’s drainage and sewerage infrastructure still dating back to the 19th century, and requiring ongoing maintenance and repair, EEG has a strong track record in winning repeated renewals of contracts, typically running for three to five years, on behalf of utility companies and local authorities.

Our commercially minded and cost-effective approach is also valued by private sector and corporate clients, including property management and real estate specialists, and our problem-solving expertise is valued by energy, utility and construction sector clients in specialisms including consulting and project management.

Our quality of service is underpinned by continuous investment in our plant, equipment and people, to meet our operational needs today and prepare for future development, as we deliver services including drainage, gully and culvert cleaning, rehabilitation and surveys, manhole surveying, sewer inspections and CCTV surveys.

EEG is one of the UK’s largest providers of drainage and sewer cleaning, inspection and repair services, providing nationwide reactive and emergency maintenance and repair coverage. Our drainage and sewer solutions are also complemented by our comprehensive multi-utility services.

“To support the UK’s sewer and storm water systems by managing, advising, inspecting, planning and maintaining.  By employing experience and harnessing technological developments we aim to reduce whole life costs of underground assets for our clients.”

Operating from 23 main and satellite sites across the UK, we provide multi-utility solutions to clients ranging from local authorities and utility companies to industrial and corporate businesses.

The strength of our in-house drainage, sewer and multi-utility expertise means that whatever the problem may be, we have the experience and knowledge to solve it, efficiently and cost-effectively. Our portfolio of services includes:

  • Drainage cleaning, surveys, rehabilitation and lining
  • Gully emptying, cleaning and surveys
  • Culvert cleaning, surveys, rehabilitation and lining
  • CCTV surveys
  • Manhole surveys
  • Sewer inspections

We have also developed a range of additional specialist services, which include drainage asset mapping, motorway, railway and runway drainage maintenance and integrated support for the energy, utility and construction sectors in all aspects of project design, procurement and delivery.

A key feature of our company is the strong, long-term client relationships we build, based on excellent customer service, which is supported by continuous investment in our equipment, plant and in our people, through comprehensive and on-going training.

Across our sites, our 440 staff manage and operate a fleet of more than 260 specialist vehicles, equipped with the latest CCTV technology and advanced, environmentally friendly, high pressure jetting technology to clean, unblock, inspect and repair drains, sewers, culverts and gullies.

At EEG, we are committed to ensuring the highest quality standards in all aspects of our work, to the safety of our people and the wider environment.

As experienced operators in sectors where safety is critical, we are focused on continually achieving safe and environmentally responsible practices on site, whether we are cleaning drains, gullies or culverts, inspecting sewers, carrying out CCTV or manhole surveys or delivering any of our other multi-utility services.

At EEG, our people are continually assessed in health and safety and our investment in our workforce includes ongoing training, both in-house and externally, together with our implementation of a major Health and Safety at Work programme.

Our comprehensive training covers a wide range of topics and all areas of our business to enable our staff to work safely, efficiently and with confidence and to provide assurance to our clients that our work is carried out the highest standards.

For example, our water jetting services are varied in their application. Offering cleaning pressures of up to 36,000psi for a safer way to prepare surfaces and cut pipeline obstructions. Our impressive fleet includes vehicles that recycle water, minimising wastage and removing the need for a continuous supply of fresh water from the mains system.
