Faversham House Group in print, in person and online - your media connection.
We are actively involved in the community through our fund-raising for local charities and our extensive work experience programme for school children and students.
We always match any staff initiatives to raise money for charity whether it is through our annual DIY and Housewares product sale, organised by the Home Improvement Division or the Christmas Party raffle.
We see work experience placements as a vital link between us and the community and an opportunity for young people to understand and value our business. We provide a carefully devised programme to many students each year. They take part in a variety of activities which reflect the nature of the industry we are in and help them to experience the wider world of work. It is always an enriching exercise for the young people and us.
Faversham House is committed to minimising the impact of its events on the environment. We accept responsibility for the environmental effects of our events, both locally and globally, and we are committed to reducing those effects through the entire life cycle of each event.
The key points of our strategy to achieve this are:
- Measure the impact of each event on the environment, and set sustainability targets for continuous improvement
- Ensure we comply with all relevant legislation – environmental and otherwise
- Implement a training program for our staff to raise awareness of environmental issues, and ensure their support for our sustainability policy
- Encourage our suppliers to adopt a similar policy, and make sustainability a factor in selecting suppliers
- Ensure that all Faversham House events are planned in accordance with BS8901 2009

Founded in 1960, Faversham House started as a controlled circulation publishing house. Originally located above the Cheshire Cheese in Fleet Street, the first publication was Heating and Ventilation Review, which continues as a leading publication for the building services market.
Over its first 50 years, the company has evolved and grown through a succession of acquisitions and launches, blazing an early trail with digital media with the launch of edie.net in 1998. Following a management buy-out on retirement of the founders, the new board is building on a rich and successful heritage to create a dynamic and progressive media company.
Faversham House continues to invest in developing innovative media solutions, delivering high value added and vital insight that its customers and communities need.
