Since 1922 Gallignani has been a specialist in the field of implements. Based on more than 90 years of activities Gallignani has turned into a specialist and a strong reference point in the world of agricultural machinery. With a broad product offering, Gallignani is market leader in Italy and exports to another 70 countries worldwide. Today, 80 of the production is exported. The product range covers fixed and variable chamber balers and round bale wrappers. All products are manufactured at the very modern manufacturing site in Ravenna in northern part of Italy. The factory is one of the most modern baler manufacturing sites in Europe, a production facility with more than 30 years of baler manufacturing experience. A new modern factory with streamlined production facilities was opened in 1999 working according to the LEAN principles.

Milestones in the History of Gallignani
The history of Gallignani includes the following important milestones:
1901:
Company founder Augusto Gallignani is born.
1922:
Augusto Gallignani opens a small smith business for repairing agricultural equipment.
1953:
Gallignani seals a business agreement with “Federconsorzi” and guarantees itself a nationwide distribution
1957:
Verona Agriculture Expo: first conventional square baler, model 145, for hay and straw harvesting. This is the very first success.
1961:
Gallignani begins its export business.
1976:
Through some important investments, Gallignani acquire Garavini Company and seals an agreement with the German company “Welger” for the constructions of the first round balers. The company employs more than 300 people.
1981:
Launch of an investment program to robotize the production
1991:
Following up a crisis of its distribution system, Gallignani reorganizes its sale network in Italy. At the same time it diversifies its production, by introducing a dedicated branch for fruit and vegetable harvesting machines, besides the well consolidated hay-making sector.
1996:
Inauguration of the division for distributed products that will deal with the distribution of equipment and machineries complementary to Gallignani’s range of products
1997:
Through a joint-venture, the first foreign subsidiary in Canada, the Gallignani-Falc Distribution Inc., is founded. Its goal is to establish a strong presence in the North American market. In the same year Gallignani receives the UNI EN ISO 9001 certification from the prestigious DNV institute
1999:
The new modern manufacturing site is opened and becomes the centre of all production activities
2002:
A deal is sealed with AGCO Company to supply round balers with Massey Ferguson and Fendt brand in Europe
2010:
Gallignani and Kverneland Group make a joint venture and Kverneland Group aquires 39% of the shares of Gallignani Spa.
2012:
Kverneland Group acquires full ownership of Gallignani Spa, and the company name is changed into Kverneland Group Ravenna S.r.l.
