Exterior Containments / Interior Protection “We Invented the Process”
For nearly forty years, the management of Global Wrap has led the way in developing specialty construction and disaster containments.Global Wrap continues to meet the demands of the markets it serves by listening to the needs of the client, designing the solution and successfully installing it.
In 1980, Anthony Seraphin along with James Talbot, who received the patent for the shrink wrapping of boats, started the first business that is now the standard for the storage or shipment of pleasure boats. They next received the patent for the shrink wrapping of aircraft.
In 1988, Mr. Seraphin developed the Global Wrap shrink wrap disaster housing program and led the American Relief Team into the earthquake-stricken city of Spitak in Armenia. Two years later, he led another team into the earthquake battered coast of Iran along the Caspian Sea.
In 1993, Mr. Seraphin founded Global Wrap. The company developed the process for shrink wrapping buildings and roof decks damaged by natural disasters and has been involved in every hurricane since 1993.
In 1994, Global Wrap used this process for shrink wrapping new buildings under construction in the winter keeping the heat in, the trades working, and the projects on their critical paths to completion. In this same year, Global Wrap installed the first shrink wrap Class 1 environmental containment for asbestos and lead abatement projects.
In 1995, the company was the first contractor cleared by the FBI after the Oklahoma City bombing to begin the containment of asbestos coming out of the damaged buildings across from the Alfred Murrah Federal Building.
In 2001 Global Wrap became thefirst interior protection company by installing the first ceiling containment to catch dust and debris during re-roofing projects. The company has since developed the “Break Away System” for interior protection. This innovative technology allows the seams of the drapes to melt open in the event of a fire, allowing the heat to activate the sprinkler heads. Global Wrap continues to lead the way in developing and establishing the designs and installations used in the construction, disaster and environmental abatement industries.
