Griggs & Maloney, Inc. provides civil and environmental engineering and environmental services to federal, state, and local agencies and private industry. Our firm was founded in 1988 by Bill Griggs and Steve Maloney and is located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. 

The firm primarily serves clients in Tennessee, although work for our clients has ranged as far west as California, Oregon, and Nevada, northward to Michigan, and eastward through the Virginias, Carolinas, and Pennsylvania.

We are an employee owned company. Our staff includes professional engineers, biologists, professional  geologists, CAD technicians, environmental technicians, and administrative support. We are a very team oriented company and our hallmark is giving personal service to all of our clients.

In 1988, Principals Bill Griggs and Steve Maloney created Griggs and Maloney, Inc. with a dream of providing efficient, full service environmental engineering and consulting services to Tennessee clients.  Bill brought several years of civil and environmental engineering experience and innovation and Steve brought his education and experience in biological and cultural resource studies and environmental regulatory know how to the table.  They make a great team.

Bill and Steve now have more than 60 years experience in environmental engineering and consulting.  As business grew, so did the staff.  The G&M staff now includes professional engineers, registered and professional geologists, biologists, environmental scientists, registered environmental property assessors, certified environmental inspectors, CADD operators, licensed asbestos inspectors and management planners, certified hazardous materials managers, and support staff.  
 
Our client list has grown to over 1000 in the more than 20 years that we have provided environmental engineering and consulting services and the list keeps growing.  Griggs & Maloney clients include state and federal regulatory agencies, municipalities, industries, banks, law firms, small and large businesses and individuals.  Our client retention is the greatest evidence of our success.

Griggs & Maloney, Inc. is structured so as to provide ultimate efficiency of service to clients, while minimizing the amount of overhead that leads to increased costs to clients and erodes corporate profitability.  Therefore, the company maintains only a loosely established internal demarcation between engineering and environmental services, with expertise freely shared between the two areas of professional practice.

Staff expertise includes civil and environmental engineering, environmental regulation interpretation and compliance, air emmissions permit application, dam design, construction oversight, process flow and wastewater treatment and disposal system design, water tower design and construction oversight, potable water system design, sanitary sewer design and rehabilitation, underground storage tank investigations and removal, environmental site investigation and remediation, waste management, wetland delineation and determination, biology and chemistry, cultural resource studies, asbestos inspections and abatement, sinkhole assessment and the list goes on and on.

Our staff includes professional engineers, registered and professional geologists, biologists, environmental scientists, registered environmental property assessors, licensed asbestos inspectors and management planners, certified hazardous materials managers.  A typical staff member has more than ten years of service with the company and several have been with us for more than 15 years.
