About Us
Grimm Labortechnik Gmbh & CO. KG
In 1981, Hans Jürgen Grimm established a company for scientific instruments called “GRIMM Labortechnik GmbH & Co. KG” and focused on “Particle Measurement”
In the course of our nearly 40 year history, an excellent partner network has been developed, which supports every day our customers in over 60 countries. To grant a local service, we permanently train our partners in service and calibration of our products. Meanwhile local service is available in more than 30 countries. At the right side is a part of our production staff.
Initially clean room and filter testing industries were the primary customers in Western Europe, however in later years a shift occurred towards air control in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries as well as to scientific institutions like universities and governmental authorities.

Today, GRIMM provides a comprehensive AEROSOL product line to a permanently increasing, international customer base. This change in direction finally caused us to change our company name. Effective 1999, we became GRIMM AEROSOL TECHNIK Ainring GmbH & Co. KG.
Made In Germany
Currently, all instruments are “Made in Germany”, and GRIMM Aerosol Technik pursues further expansion plans. With more than 60 employees, the company has been taken over by the German DURAG GROUP in 2015.
Our Headquarter is in Ainring-Berchtesgadener Land, and our production is in Friedersdorf-Muldestausee near Leipzig.
The Durag Group
In October 2015 the GRIMM Aerosol Ainring GmbH & Co. KG has been taken over by the DURAG Group located in Hamburg, Germany. The DURAG Group is a worldwide operating group of companies and one of the market leaders for intelligent solutions in the fields of combustion technology, environmental monitoring, data management as well as tunnel sensors.
Through the acquisition of this worldwide market leader which is also very active in the environmental monitoring industry, we all believe that a larger organization will allow us to provide globally a wider range of best class products with additional services and of course a more intensive and faster development of our products according to changing requirements of your markets.
GRIMM Aerosol Technik is still represented at the usual GRIMM-locations, is available under the existing phone numbers and will keep supporting you with the existing, trusted and competent GRIMM-team.
