For more than 20 years IVU Umwelt has been working in environmental planning. Our core activities include expert opinions, development and implementation of models, development of software solutions, and analysis, processing and presentation of measurements and statistics. Our main fields of work are air quality modelling and noise protection. Our specialized staff are gathered from the areas of engineering, physics, meteorology, hydrology, geography, system science and statistics.

Information systems
Our team uses modern software development tools and the latest presentation and communication media for developing information systems. The use of geographical information systems (GIS) is an important component in these. We develop and extend individual (geo)information systems for your specific tasks on the basis of the GIS systems ArcView 3.x / ArcGIS and MapInfo.

GIS integration
IVU Umwelt integrates models in geographical information systems (GIS) thus retaining the spatial reference in data used for environmental planning and making the GIS the user interface for environmental modeling. As ESRI partner IVU Umwelt offers professional software solutions combining the functionalities of a GIS and the validity of the models, opening up new possibilities in analysis and display.
