Kinetico Incorporated was founded in 1970 by two engineers who pioneered the development of non-electric, fully automatic water treatment systems. Evolving from the Tangent Company, a small consulting design firm, Kinetico soon became a global organization of independent dealers, international distributors representing nearly 100 countries. Through the dedication of its founders, employees and distribution network, Kinetico has experienced tremendous success. The company has grown from a two-man, creative undertaking into a strong and dynamic organization. Innovative technology and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction have distinguished the company and positioned Kinetico as a leader in today's ever-changing water treatment industry.

Kinetico manufactures complete systems that improve water quality for general use as well as those that provide high-quality drinking water for consumption. Kinetico quality water systems are used in rural, problem water areas and where water is supplied by municipally controlled water utilities.

Water is the very basis of life, touching everyone and everything. Our need for water is fundamental, yet almost one billion people live without safe drinking water. And the situation is getting worse. A growing population and the way we treat our planet is continually altering this precious resource.

Kinetico is committed to improving the lives of people all over the world. Raising awareness about the world’s water crisis, working with and supporting organizations that are helping people get access to clean water, supporting those in need in our own communities, protecting our natural resources and solving individual water challenges are just a few ways Kinetico is working to make the world a better place.

Kinetico has and continues to sponsor Katie Spotz as she raises awareness for key issues through endurance challenges. Katie, a Kinetico employee, recently set a world record as the youngest person to row solo across the Atlantic Ocean, raising awareness and funds to help provide safe drinking water to thousands. Kinetico will be the Title Sponsor for her next water awareness endeavor. In June 2011, Katie, with her cycling partner Sam Williams, will attempt to set a record in Ride for Your Life!, a 24/7, 3,000-mile bicycle race that they hope to complete in less than nine days.

Kinetico and its employees have a longstanding tradition of giving back at the local level. We are active participants in numerous charitable organizations and perform a variety of volunteering and fundraising efforts such as sponsoring Kids of Steel and the Kinetico Running Festival in Canada, both promoting healthy lifestyles and the importance of hydration.
