Air pollution caused by exhaust - and non exhaust pipe emissions. Traffic induced air pollution is still responsible for the largest contribution to air pollution in our cities. Therefore our laws demand - for example in the licencing process for new roads - an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), containing information about the present and future air pollutant concentrations in the sphere of influence of that road.
Planing road tunnels, several aspects concerning air quality and human health need to be respected: Protection of users of tunnel in case of fire. Keeping of air quality standards in the tunnel. Air pollutant concentrations, caused by emissions released from the tunnel mouths and ventilation systems. These topics need to be respected from the beginning of a project in order to achieve a smooth licensing process. We offer you competent consulting in...
In the frame of the licencing process for new plants or for the enlargement or modification of existing plants, the air pollutant and odour concentrations in the vicinity of the plant have to be predicted as well for the regular operation as for accidental releases.
The design of new waste treatement and disposal plants as well as the extension of existing plants requires efforts for determination and prevention of dangers and nuisances. Also in agriculture (animal breeding) information about potential odour problems is required.
Odour perceptions are - together with noise - the most frequent cause of complaints, as these perceptions can directly be sensed. A proof of evidence of nuisances by odours is mostly not possible on the basis of technical monitoring devices, therefore the human nose is presently the most frequently used 'monitoring device' for nuisances by odours.
