Maine Wastewater Control Association (MWWCA) is an association of over 650 members consisting of municipal and industrial operators, consultants, students, and Aerial View of the Lewiston-Auburn Water Pollution Control Authority. The MWWCA represents over 95 wastewater treatment plants serving over 125 communities throughout the state. It is governed by an executive Committee consisting of the Chairs of various committees including Education, Residuals management, Government Affairs, Awards, Collection Systems, Communications, Conventions, Industrial Operations, Laboratory, Personnel Advancement, Pretreatment, Safety and Public Relations. MWWCA holds two conventions per year focused on providing training for wastewater professionals throughout the state. We maintain close liaison with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (ME DEP) to understand and comment on proposed regulatory changes.
