About Us
Along the way, he needed to design and build trailers for the center pivot irrigation business he also owned, and word quickly spread about the quality of his work – being an engineer, every trailer he built was high quality and precisely engineered. Soon his manufacturing company became Maxey Inc. and was building innovative trailers and truck bodies for farmers, ranchers, and businesses throughout northern Colorado, southern Wyoming, and southwestern Nebraska.
The MGS Trailer Store is part of the Trailer Products Division of MGS Incorporated. We are factory-authorized distributors of Wells Cargo enclosed trailers, Big Tex open trailers, M.H. Eby aluminum utility trailers, as well as open and enclosed trailers from Car Mate and Carry-On Trailer Corporation.
MGS is a member the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM)—a not-for-profit association organized to “promote, both to the industry and to the public, a universal recognition of safety and quality in the trailer manufacturing industry.” NATM works to improve the trailer industry through the promotion of compliance with Federal Safety Regulations and industry standards.
Eventually because of customer demand, Maxey began selling other trailer lines under the business name Max-Air Trailers. Then Maxey Truck Equipment was added to the Maxey family to provide commercial customers with the truck bodies and accessories they needed to do their jobs.
After working together for many years, MGS acquired Maxey Companies in 2014. Today the regional retail store is known as Maxey Trailer Sales and Truck fitting, a part of the MGS Trailer Products Division.
