Meteosim S.L.
Meteosim was founded in 2003 as a spin-off from the alliance between researchers from the Department of Astronomy and Meteorology of the Faculty of Physics at the University of Barcelona (Spain) and the American company Meso Inc. (New York), which enjoys worldwide recognition in the field of meteorology. Meteosim focused their activity on the research and development of mesoscale and microscale weather simulation models aimed at wind energy, air quality and other meteorologically sensitive industries. In 2007, in order to strengthen the global position of Meteosim in the wind energy industry, the company Meteosim Truewind was founded, a joint venture between Meteosim and the US company AWS Truewind.

About Us
In 2011, following the success of this joint venture, the two companies merged to form AWS Truepower, a world leader in independent renewable energy consulting.
This diversification enabled Meteosim to focus its research, development and marketing resources on other meteorologically sensitive markets: Air Quality, Climate Change, Risk Management and Metocean Services.
In 2015, Meteosim set up a sales office in Washington DC which reinforces the support provided to multilateral agencies.
In 2016, after the execution of several projects in Latin America, Meteosim Colombia SAS was founded, enabling us to be closer to clients and help them by means of meteorological, climate and environmental solutions to improve their results’ accounts.
