Nuga AG was taken over by Bruno Pöltinger in 1988, the production of high grade machine parts was at the fore. Soon after that Nuga AG began manufacturing complete conventional granulators for the plastics industry. One of the first innovations in this area was the controlled material feed into the granulating chamber which enormously increased the capacity of the granulators. In 1999 the production of granulators was spun off into the newly formed Nuga AG Kunststoffschneidemühlen for better marketing. To date Nuga AG Kunststoffschneidemühlen has succeeded in constantly challenging existing technical solutions and developing new ideas. So it is no surprise that only shortly after the business started up the first granulators with a controlled axial material feed were developed and manufactured. Today the CentriCut granulators and peripheral components are manufactured at two production sites and delivered to customers all over the world.

This unconventional technical approach was well received in the market and considerably increased the performance of the granulators while saving energy at the same time.

Via the success of this innovation Nuga AG Kunststoffschneidemühlen decided in 2000 to consequently focus on the further development of its patented CentriCut granulator. At different stages of evolution the unique operating principle was also aimed at the specific needs of the recycling industry.

Today Nuga AG Kunststoffschneidemühlen complete bespoke systems along with individual components. This is also a reason why in 2012 the company name has been changed to Nuga Systems AG and made suitable to its market position.
