Opus Energy is an independent provider of dependable and affordable gas and electricity to UK businesses. Founded in 2002, by Chief Executive Charlie Crossley Cooke, the company now provides more than 160,000 sites across the country with energy. With flexible packages, free Smart Meter installation and a buy back option for excess renewable energy, our customers have the opportunity to make dramatic savings on their future energy bills.
Opus Energy is a market leader is the business-to-business energy sector. We provide gas and electricity and first-class customer service to over 160,000 business sites in the UK. Our energy contracts are flexible and affordable, with precise billing and specialised B2B accounts.
Customers can either opt for a fixed price deal, which guards against fluctuations in the energy market, or our larger business clients have the option of Opus Evolution, which gives them access to the wholesale energy market. Our customers are at the heart of Opus Energy, which is why we only operate UK-based call centres, manned by highly trained and knowledgeable staff. For this reason, we’re able to answer most queries with just one phone call; we don’t use call-routing systems; and we aim to answer each phone call within 30 seconds, so you won’t spend all day waiting in a queue.
Some of our most high-profile customers are Lloyds Pharmacy, Dulux and Pizza Hut, although the majority of our customers are small and medium-sized enterprises.
We aim to procure more of our energy from cleaner and renewable sources and already get some of our power from renewable generators of wind, solar, hydro and anaerobic digestion. Over the last three years, 72% of the power provided by Opus Energy came from cleaner, low-carbon sources. Doing so helps to reduce climate change and the impact of your business’s carbon footprint.
At Opus Energy, we are focused on the needs of business customers. Through strategic partnerships, Opus secures low-cost energy, and wherever possible will purchase electricity from renewable or cleaner power sources.
We are committed to developing long-term relationships with our customers, by successfully meeting their needs. We strive to deliver a high standard of care; this for us means an experienced energy professional answering your call. We don’t use automated answering systems and we don’t outsource our operations to overseas call centres. Our streamlined and simplified billing system delivers accurate monthly energy usage and billing information.
