Since our inception, Oxidation Systems has been focused on providing high-quality products and services for in-situ chemical oxidation of contaminated sites. Our experience designing, building, and operating ISCO systems over the years reinforced our understanding of the importance of properly assessing the site prior to implementing a full-scale remedy. Of particular significance is soil oxidant demand (SOD) and its impact on the amount of oxidizer required and the overall cost-effectiveness of any chemical oxidation strategy. In 2004, we developed a laboratory method to measure SOD in soils for a variety of oxidizers, including permanganate, sodium persulfate, hydrogen peroxide, and ozone. The success of our testing services led us to develop test kits that can be used by engineers and scientists as part of an ISCO remedial design. These test kits are now the primary focus of our business.

We offer SOD test kits for use with either permanganate (both potassium permanganate and sodium permanganate) or persulfate. Our field test kits are available in packages of 5 tests, 25 tests, or as starter kits that include everything required to perform soil oxidant demand testing.
