Insurance and Bonding
To ensure that our clients' interests are completely protected, QMLP is fully licensed, bonded and insured.
We carry a comprehensive package of general liability insurance with special coverage for environmental pollution. Additional coverage for specific projects is also available, including increased limits and other coverage as required by our clients.
We also hold up-to-date registrations with workers' compensation programs in each of the provinces we work in. As a result of our strong health and safety programs, we have consistently received preferred standing for maintaining an excellent track record of on-the-job safety.
Committed to Safety
Our business in general involves physically tough, demanding, and potentially hazardous situations. The very nature of the work we do exposes us to a variety of hazards. That's why we've developed a comprehensive health and safety program that has been implemented throughout the company.
Employees attend regular health and safety orientation meetings and are provided with a detailed manual outlining safe work practices. A company wide Safety Committee is responsible for assessing workplace hazards, recommending solutions, and identifying employee safety training needs.

We integrate this commitment into our business planning and operations by establishing and maintaining an effective and pro-active Environment, Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS).

- Seeking training and information to equip ourselves to perform our work in the safest manner possible;
- Being aware of and complying with all applicable health, safety and environmental legislation and regulations, our own internal EHSMS program, including our Best Practices and where applicable, the client’s safety program;
- Ensuring our Manager’s, Supervisors and Workers are accountable and take responsibility for safeguarding their personal safety and well being as well as that of their co-workers;
- Assessing and managing the environmental, health and safety risks associated with all aspects of our business to protect our employees, our shareholders, clients and the communities in which we operate;
- Consistently striving for safety excellence, including taking ownership for continually evolving and improving our EHSMS and foster a culture which recognizes that our employees are our most important resource.
All staff receive training in the safe handling of hazardous materials, as well as site specific training to assist them in carrying out their work safely. All new employees attend formal orientation sessions that provide them with an overview of the company's safety programs and work practices.
Quantum also ensures that its employees are kept up to date on developments in the industry by providing ongoing workshops and training covering regulatory changes, workplace safety, and the latest developments in technology.
